Web Comics
Truth be told, I rarely make it to a comic book store any more. I lived in Chicago for 20 years and had access to some of the very best comic book shops in the world, but in the last 5 years I rarely went to a comic book store. Basicly I made an annual pilgrimage to the store to see what was new, which usually resulted in one purchase and that was usually a Marvel or DC comic. I respect and like a lot of the work from other publishers and the alternative press, but the truth is I grew up on DC and Marvel and I'm a junkie. I need my DC/Marvel fix. Sad. But true.
Now I live in the boonies of Montana. Well, OK. Not THE boonies. The town is small but cosmopolitan and artsy, but still not a single comic book shot within 100 miles. So the web is my mainline to comics. As a result I've put some serious time into tracking down web comics that I like. Right now there are only two. Both at the wonderful Transmission-X site.
The first is the brilliant Kukuburi by Ramon Perez. The second is the lovely and charming Luz by Claudia Dávila.

Welcome to RGB Comics
In mid 2008 RGB Comics will start publishing web comics. Until that time, this blog will be my little soapbox to rant and rave about comic books.
Welcome.
Welcome.
